And the winner is…

And the winner is… Image

Last night The Copper House Gallery saw the opening of Illustration at Fire exhibition and the announcement of our winner, Steve Simpson. Steve was among 10 finalists and was declared the winner by one of the judges, Laurence O'Byrne.

Steve's clever concept and witty Illustration led him to win the competition, along with the prize which includes his own exhibition at The Copper House Gallery next year. His piece "Signs of a Revolution" consists of 12 images on a grid, each signing a letter from the word 'Revolution' by hands of iconic figures. Homer Simpsons hand signing 't' behind a donut ring being one of my favourites!

To learn more about Steve's influence and processes behind his winning Illustration, there will be an artists talk with Steve, and two other finalists, Mario Sughi and Kevin McSherry next Thursday 8th December in The Copper House Gallery.

And finally, if you are stuck for original Christmas presents this year, (yes it is that time of year again), we have limited edition prints of each of the 10 finalists pieces, available in three different finishes and sizes. Follow us on twitter or facebook or drop an email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information.

Congratulations again to Steve, from all here at Fire!
